Man Thrown From Motorcycle After Crashing Into Tractor
SALEM TOWNSHIP, Ohio -- A Mason man was seriously injured Wednesday evening when he crashed his motorcycle into a tractor. State troopers said 77-year-old Donald Stotler wrecked his 1981 Kawasaki into the rear of a John Deere tractor driven by 70-year-old Ronald Flint, of Clarksville, about 5:40 p.m. on eastbound state Route 22/3. Stotler was thrown from the motorcycle, and he was taken by medical helicopter to Miami Valley Hospital, where he was listed in critical condition. Flint was not injured. Troopers said alcohol and drugs do not appear to be factors, and the crash remains under investigation.Salem News Salem Ohio - News

LEETONIA - Peggy A. Kyser, 71, of Leetonia, passed away Monday, Aug. 1, 2011, at St. Joseph Health Center in Warren, Ohio.
She was born Aug. 8, 1939, in Salem, Ohio, the daughter of the late Russell and Hazel (Williard) Allison.
Mrs. Kyser obtained her GED at the Columbiana County Career Center. She was Protestant by faith. She enjoyed playing bingo, cross stitching and raising her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Wilford Kyser, whom she married June 9, 1958. She is also survived by her four sons, Robert (Deloras) Kyser of Wexford, Pa., Daniel (Sherrie) Kyser of Berlin Center, Ohio, Martin Kyser of Dover, N.H., and Kurt (Lorrie) Kyser of Salem, Ohio; a daughter, Kelly (James) Dornan of Lisbon, Ohio; two sisters, Donna Bender and Georgia Miller of Arizona; two stepsisters, Rita Jo Morrison of Salem, Ohio, and Winifred Allison of Leetonia, Ohio; 13 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded by one brother, Albert Leroy Allison; and one sister, Rita Mae Smith.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Stark Memorial with the Rev. Adam Stevens officiating.
Calling hours will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery.
