Baird reduces Briggs & Stratton estimate

In an analyst note, Baird analyst Craig Kennison said retail sales through July were down 1 percent in its survey of 73 independent retailers, which represent about 15 percent of the market. Respondents report that consumers are still choosing to repair mowers rather than buy new equipment and are purchasing lower priced walk-behinds vs. larger riding mowers when they do. Kennison wrote that after a decent start in the South, sales slowed significantly because of poor weather and flagging consumer confidence.

Baird, a Milwaukee-based wealth management, capital markets and private equity firm, is reducing its outlook for full-year results to $1.22 per share, down from a previous forecast of $1.30 per share. Results would compare with $1.11 per share in fiscal 2010, excluding costs of a litigation settlement. Briggs & Stratton (NYSE: BGG) reports its fiscal fourth quarter and full-year results Aug. 11. Briggs is expecting earnings of $1.13 to $1.35 per share for the year.

Why won't my lawnmower start unless I pour gas on the air filter? I got a lawn mower off the roadside (I'm 12) as a result it didn't work( go figure) I'm very mechanical so i tryed to fix her and i needed a way to make money. It's an old snapper mower, i think its a briggs and stratton engine.anyway i replaced the rusty spark plug and put some other things on, and for the life of me couldn’t get it started. The only thing that worked was when i cleaned out the air filter, and drenched it with gas. And finally she had some smoke out of the muffler, but she started!then i tried again in like twenty minutes and she started then again in like four hours and nothing. Should i get a new air filter? Heelp!!! Please

If have a 12.5 hp Kawasaki lawn mower engine..and need some bolts for it..can order these online somewhere? I’ve tried to successfully order these bolts from a local lawn mower repair shop..but they’re acting like they couldnt care less about it..lol..and I’m about out of patience.. Is there a way to order online and have them sent to my home or where can i find them else? Hard ware store etc? I’m looking for a ten mm bolt that will tighten the fuel pump bracket on the side of my lawn mower engine any help appreciated.
